Is this your child?
-
Does she have trouble following directions, remembering what she is taught,
or finding the right words?
-
Is he not learning to read, in spite of help in school?
-
Is she struggling with written language, math, or
reading comprehension?
-
Is he upset
from comparing himself to other kids academically?
-
Does he need more time to complete tasks?
-
Are her language, fine motor, or gross motor skills below those of her
peers?
If your child has some form of learning disability that is
the cause of these problems, it does not mean that he or she is
lacking in intelligence or capability. However, it may
mean that they will need some accommodation by the schools, or -
in some cases - a different school. If there is another cause,
either physical or emotional, or if there are multiple causes,
then you need to understand that as well. Understanding
what they need is the first step to getting them what they need. |
