| Evaluation Services: A full
neuropsychological evaluation consists of three groups of tests:
neuropsychological, educational, and emotional screening
components. Occasionally there will be a need for testing
in only one component area, such as
cognitive/neuropsychological or educational.
There are also times when more intensive projective tests are
requested by a therapist or physician, or when the emotional
screening suggests a need for more in-depth testing. These tests
are in addition to the full neuropsychological evaluation.

Neuropsychological Component |
| |
The neuropsychological component includes tests to evaluate
cognitive and neuropsychological functioning (memory, attention,
language, fine motor, executive functioning, planning, and
problem solving, etc.)
|
| |
Educational Component |
| |
The educational component will also include tests to evaluate
educational achievement and independent skill levels of
performance (decoding, phonemic awareness, oral reading fluency,
comprehension, spelling, written language, math concepts and
computations).
|
| |
Emotional Screening Component |
| |
The emotional component includes a screening to assess the
child's sense of himself in the world, his self-confidence, and
self-esteem, the quality of his relationships and his overall
mood.
